or call our service hotline on +49 [ 0 ]711 911-0 or send us an email at [email protected]
Problem
Possible cause
911 Soundbar system
Power cable not connected to the power
does not turn on.
outlet and/or 911 Soundbar.
911 Soundbar does
1. The battery is empty.
not respond to remote
control.
2. Protective foil has not been removed.
Sound reproduction
1. Volume of 911 Soundbar or source device is set
too soft.
too low.
2. The maximum possible volume has been
limited by means of the 'Volume' function.
No sound reproduction.
1. Sound format of the source device wrongly
selected [ Digital input 'TV' and 'DVD' ].
2. Source device not producing any signal.
3. Cable not correctly connected/faulty cable.

Solution
Check connection.
1. Replace battery, observe correct polarity at insertion.
2. Remove the protective foil from remote control.
1. Increase the volume using the 'Volume +' button.
Increase the volume of the source device.
2. Increase the max. possible volume in line with
instructions [ page 47 ].
1. Please check the correct setting of your source device.
'DTS' encoded output formats cannot be reproduced.
2. Activate digital output at the source device. If the volume is
at '0', it needs to be increased [ please use the device's
operating manual ].
3.1. Check the connection of the source device to the 911 Soundbar
and change the cable if necessary.
3.2. Please check if you have removed the protective caps from the
provided optical cable.
Problem
Possible cause
911 Soundbar hums.
1. Signal cable from source device to 911 Soundbar
is too long [ AUX ].
2. Signal cable is not shielded or shielding has
been damaged [ defective ].
3. Ground loop [ ripple pick-up ] generated.
4. Another piece of equipment on the same
circuit has no interference suppression
[ e. g. refrigerator ].

Solution
1. Use shorter signal cable.
2. Exchange the signal cable with a shielded one.
3. A ground loop can be generated when two or more devices
connected via a signal line [ RCA ] are plugged into separate
sockets [ e. g. amplifier and computer ]. Plug all safety class I
devices [ with a safety plug ] connected to the 911 Soundbar
into one multiple outlet strip.
4. Switch off possible sources of interference to test: unplug the
device concerned to see if the humming noise disappears or
connect the source of interference to a different circuit [ L1, L2 or
L3 ]. Where necessary, take advice from your electrician. Insert a
special 'sheath current filter' [ available from specialist retailers ]
between the amplifier and the 911 Soundbar to eliminate the
humming. Turn the power plug round to reduce the so-called
ripple voltage [ particularly important if the source device is not
earthed ].
