DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The upper section has a display to show all information divided into
menus and sub-menus as described below. The keypad is located
immediately below the display, with 4 keys, the use of which is
explained by icons on the display.
The area immediately below the keypad is where the SLIM-R radio
control is positioned for programming.
The right-hand side has a connector used to connect the various
optional interfaces, including the cable used to program the BUG-R
units.
The SLIM-R radio controls are programmed via radio, while the BUG-
R radio controls are programmed via cable.
PRELIMINARY NOTES
Each TAUPROG is supplied with a memorised "RETAILER CODE", different for each
programmer.
In this way, only radio controls programmed with the same TAUPROG can be duplicated; in the
reading phase, the programmer will recognise all dip-switch radio controls, "virgin" SLIM-R and
BUG-R radio controls, as well as those with the same retailer code, while it is unable to read
SLIM-R and BUG-R units programmed by means of other TAUPROG units.
Radio controls at a frequency of 433.92MHz can transmit in two ways:
1. Fixed code" mode (dip-switch), TXD, BUG, SLIM and SLIM-C. These radio controls transmit
a 12-bit code, 10 bit form the radio control code, for example 1010101010 and the last 2 bit
indicate the channel (radio control key) that has been pressed, i.e. T1-T2-T3-T4.
2. Rolling code mode, BUG-R and SLIM-R. In this way the radio control transmits several
identification codes and each transmission is different from the previous one (rolling).
In particular, a rolling code transmits:
-
A "Programmer" code, which is never displayed by TAUPROG and is used to differentiate
radio controls programmed with different TAUPROG units. The factory setting on the
radio controls of this code is 0000, after which the radio control then memorises the
corresponding programmer code when programmed with TAUPROG. The programmer
code is memorised by default and can no longer be displayed or modified by the user.
-
A client code identifying a group of radio controls assigned to a specific client or which
should open the same gate or group of gates.
