ZEX516 Remote 16-Zone Expansion Module
The ZEX516 expansion module allows the installation of additional 16 zones to the FORCE Series intruder alarm systems. The module
connects to control panel's bus. It has a tamper switch for detecting the opening of its box, and a buzzer for help the technician in
locating it on the premises. It is supplied mounted in a standard plastic box. The expansion module does not support zone doubling.

How to mount and install the ZEX516
Mount the ZEX516's box on a flat surface. Follow the next steps.
1. Open the screw at the bottom of the box and remove the cover.
2. Remove one or more knock outs and pass the wiring through it.
3. Mount the box using the mounting holes.
4. Set the module's ID-no. DIP switch (no. 13 in the figure above + the settings figure).
5. Connect the wires of the zones and the bus.
6. If the external tamper input (no. 2 in the figure above) is not in use, connect it to minus.
7. Set the module in the control panel (refer to the FORCE's Installation guide) and check the LEDs.
8. Close the cover and fasten the screw.

Tampers disconnection jumper
The jumper on the circuit board is used for disconnecting the onboard tamper and the external tamper input, as described below:
 Jumper open: tampers connected (use only one tamper)
 Jumper closed: tampers disconnected
