The RADIO-CONTROLLED Clock
With the Radio-Controlled Clock, you can have the most accurate time within the continent. It can receive the time signal
transmitted by Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) of Germany, which is regulated by 4 atomic clocks and in
average deviates less than 1 second in 2 million years.
PTB transmit the time signal (DCF77, 77.5kHz) continuously from Mainflingen, 25 km southeast of Frankfurt (am Main). It
is expected that the signal can cover a distance of 2,000 km from the transmitter. However, some environmental effects (see
Attention below) may affect the transmitting distance.

Environmental Reception Effects:
The Radio-Controlled Clock obtains the accurate time
with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices,
the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to,
the following conditions:
• Long transmitting distance.
• Nearby mountains and valleys.
• Among tall buildings.
• Near railway, high voltage cable, etc.
• Near freeway, airport, etc.
• Near construction site.
• Inside concrete buildings.
• Near electrical appliances.
• Bad weather.
• Inside moving vehicles.
• Nearby metallic structures.

• Receive 77.5kHz DCF77 signal transmitted by PTB at
Mainflingen, Germany.
• Automatic time adjustment after signal reception.
• Calendar with day-of-the-week display from 1 January 2000
to 31 December 2050.
• Hour, Minute and Second display.
• 12 or 24 hour format.
• Crystal oscillator frequency : 32.768kHz.
• Time accuracy (atomic clock): better than 1 second in 3,000 years.
• Time accuracy (free run): average within 60 seconds per month.
• Operating temperature from 0° to 50° (32° to 122°).
• Temperature measuring range from -10? to 50? (15° to 122°).
• Temperature resolution 0.5°
• Battery life: approximately 1 year.
