to the chuteassembly,Loosenthefastenersof theothertwo
flangekeepers,See Fig,4,

Placechuteassemblyonto chutebaseas shown in Fig, 5, Make
surethat the chutenotchesengagewith the spiralend of chute
directionalcontrol,and the two flangekeepersare beneaththe
flangeon the chute base,

Secureflangekeeperremovedearlierwith lock nuts and screws,
Tightendownnuts securingthe othertwo flangekeepers.See

If notalreadydone,slipthe cablesthat run fromthe handle
panelto the dischargechute intothe cableguide on top of the
engine.See Fig. 5.
Normallythecable ties holdingthe steeringcables againstthe
handleare looselyinstalledon each sideof the lowerhandleat
the factory.Pullthe cableties tight to secure.Cut the excess
from theendsof cableties.

Neveruseyourhandsto cleara cloggedchuteassembly.Shut
off engineand remainbehindhandlesuntilall movingparts have
stoppedbeforeusingthe clean-outtool to clearthe chuteassembly,
A chuteclean-outtool is fastenedto thetop of the auger housing
with a mountingclip. See Fig.6. The tool is designedto cleara chute
assemblyof ice and snow.This item,alongwith the extensioncord, is
fastenedwith a cabletie at the factoryfor shippingpurposes.You may
cut thecable tie at this time.

Removethe two screwsand lock nuts that secureeachdrift
cutter,and removethemfrom the sides of the augerhousing.
Turnthedrift cuttersaroundand positionthem as shownin Fig. 7
to the outsideof the auger housing.
Attachthedriftcutters withthe screws andlocknuts removed earlier.
