It is recommended that shut-off valves are fitted before and after the
energy meter to simplify removing the meter.

Installation of the temperature sensors

Handle the temperature sensor carefully! The sensor cables are provided
with coloured type plates.
Red: sensor in the hot line
Blue: sensor in the cold line

Sensors must be installed symmetrically.
ƒ
The maximum cable length for PT100 and PT500 is up to 10 m.
ƒ
The connecting cables must not be shortened or extended.
ƒ
For DN 15 and DN 20, the sensors must be installed directly immersed.
ƒ
The free temperature sensor can be installed in a ball valve or in a
conformity-tested pocket for this type of sensor.
ƒ
Ensure that the temperature sensors are permanently connected dur-
ing operation.
ƒ
If the sensor is installed in a pocket, it must be inserted as far as the
bottom of the pocket and then secured.
ƒ
For installation in a ball valve, a 4-piece coupling set is enclosed in a
separate bag (see Fig. I). Insert only one O-ring in the sensor hole
using the mounting pin supplied.
