MLX224A
Switch 1 = ON: Switch-off delay.
The relay, relevant to each chennel, is switched off with a delay of 2 seconds after the release of the loop(s).
Switch 2 = ON: Direction logic.
The two relays of the MLX224A are enabled/disabled according to the detection sequence of the two loops. Realy OUT1 is turned on when
the vehicle moves from loop CH2 to loop CH1 (the green LEDs follow the loop detection as per the standard operation mode).
Viceversa, the relay OUT2 is turned on when the vehicle moves from loop CH1 to loop CH2.
The time of the relay turn-on is corresponding to the time at which the second loop starts the detection.
In order to achieve a correct "Direction Logic", the two loops must be installed in a proper way, avoiding any misdetection: a possible
suggested layout is represented in Fig. 3.
Switch 3 = ON: Pulse when leaving the loop.
For the MLX224A, the "pulse when leaving the loop" (achievable only in pulse-mode) is a switching output when the loop ends the vehicle
detection. No switch-off delay can be achieved, even if switch 1 is ON.
Switch 4 = ON: Switch-on delay.
The relay is turned on with a switching-on delay of 1 second after driving on the loop(s).
Switch 5 = ON: Automatic self-tuning in case of failure.
The detector readjusts itself automatically approx. 12 seconds after a short loop failure. With this function, is not necessary to press the
RESET key. Should the failure last longer, the detector will try to readjust as long as the failure is gone. Both relays and red LED remain in
"failure" mode until the readjustment is successfully completed.
Switch 6 = ON: Relay turn-on in case of loop failure.
With this function, a loop failure works like a loop detection. This security function prevents the problem of a vehicle over the loop when the
noise appears. In order to have this function efficient it is absolutely necessary that the switch 5 be in OFF position.
