Troubleshooting
Error description:
Limit value monitoring for current
threshold (20 mA) has triggered.
However, the display of the reading is
within the acceptance region.
Measure/Remedy
1. Check the actual chlorine concen‐
tration using DPD. If this agrees
with the display on the sensor then
the chlorine concentration was only
briefly too high
ð Check the complete system for
faults (control parameters, size
of actuator, flow, etc.).
2. If the measured chlorine content is
above the measuring range of the
sensor and does not agree with the
display on the measuring device
then
ð Check the supply voltage on
the sensor. Please especially
note the following when con‐
necting to external devices:
The voltage source may have
failed due to excessive power
consumption.
3. Check the complete system for
faults (control parameters, size of
actuator, flow, etc.).
ð Make sure that the chlorine
concentration no longer
exceeds the measuring range.
4. If the measured ranges are
exceeded often then
ð Replace the sensor with a
sensor with the correct meas‐
uring range.

5. If the measuring range is only
exceeded rarely then there is a
strong suspicion that the internal
voltage source is too low when con‐
necting external devices
ð On Safe operation of sensor
impossible at this measuring/
control device. When selecting
a suitable measuring/control
device, make sure that the
internal voltage source com‐
plies with the minimum require‐
ments ( 16 - 24 V DC at least
35 mA).
