– Read this manual completely and carefully before connecting the machine to the tractor.
– Check, before starting to work with the machine, that safety guards are in proper condition and that all
stickers are perfectly legible.
– Become familiar with controls. Test each single lever and check its function according to what is stated in
the manual.
– The machine is designed and built to chop, mix and distribute products used for livestock feed.
– The machine must be manoeuvred by a single expert and adult operator seated in the tractor's driver's
seat.
– Material must be introduced using equipment that keeps the machine operator at a safe distance from the
machine (screws, rubber-lined shovels, loaders, etc.).
– Before the operator uses the machine he must make sure that there are no persons behind or in the vici-
nity of the machine (work area). The operator must stop the machine whenever he forecasts danger situa-
tions.
– In case of breakdown the operator must immediately turn off the power-take-off, pull out the ignition key and
descend from the tractor to determine the entity of the problem. He must only work on the machine with the engi-
ne stopped and the key pulled out or with the transmission shaft disconnected.
The operator must immediately descend from the machine whenever the cardan shaft guards are damaged.
– The operator must not use the machine when he feels ill or tired or when he is inebriated or under the
influence of drugs.
– The operator must check that the products he intends working with are free of foreign matter (stones, pie-
ces of steel, etc.) that could cause harm to persons, to the machine itself and, as a consequence, to the
animals to be fed.
– The machine must be used in the farm site on flat and sturdy support surfaces with sufficient room for
working in safe conditions and with all due visibility.
– It is prohibited to use the machine to transport persons, animals and/or objects.
– It is prohibited to use the machine as a lifting machine. Use only the specific ladder for looking insi-
de the mixer.
– It is prohibited to stand in the vicinity of the cutter, in the zone where the chopped material is spread and on top of
the ensiled mass.
– It is prohibited to enter into the mixing bin when the machine is hooked to the tractor.
– It is prohibited to ruin, tamper with or remove any protective guards and any of the warning signs on the machine.
– It is prohibited to perform any maintenance or repair on the machine with the engine on and the cardan
shaft connected.
– It is prohibited to even partially modify any machine component.
– It is prohibited to use non-genuine spare parts (also refer to "General guarantee terms, page 86).
