tern should be emptied before storage
for 30 days or longer.
Fuel stabilizer is an acceptable alter-
native in minimizing the formation of
fuel gum deposits during storage. Add
stabilizer to the gasoline in the fuel
tank or fuel storage container. Follow
the mix instructions
found on stabilizer
container. Run engine at least 5 min-
utes after adding stabilizer to allow the
stabilizer to reach the carburetor.
Craftsman 40:1, 2-cycle engine oil (air
cooled) is already blended with fuel
stabilizer. If you do not use this Sears
oil, you can add a fuel stabilizer (such
as Craftsman No. 33500) to your fuel
tank.
INTERNAL ENGINE
• Remove spark plug and pour 1 tea_
spoon of 40:1, 2-cycle engine oil (air
cooled) through the spark plug
opening. Slowly pull the starter rope
8 to 10 times to distribute oil to inner
engine surfaces.
• Replace spark plug with new one of
recommended
type and heat range.
• Clean air filter.
Refer to MAINTE-
NANCE SCHEDULE.
• Re-install
all covers and hardware
removed for access; tighten all
screws and fasteners.
• Use fresh fuel next season.
OTHER
• Do not store gasoline from one sea-
son to another.
• Replace your gasoline can if it starts
to rust. Rust and/or dirt in your fuel
system will cause problems.

area and covered, if possible, to pre-
vent dust and dirt accumulation.
IMPORTANT:
