TORING THE
Washers can be damaged if water is not removed
from hoses and internal components before storage.
Prepare the washer for storage as follows:
• Select the Heavy Duty cycle setting and add
cup of bleach to the bleach dispenser without
clothes in the tumbler. Run the washer through a
complete cycle using hot water.
• Turn the water faucets off and disconnect the inlet
hoses.

• Use Max Extract option.
• Try using a high-efficiency detergent to reduce sudsing.
• Load is too small.Very small loads (one or two items) may become unbalanced and not
spin out completely.
• Load is too large.Very large loads may not spin out completely.
• Make sure hose connections are tight.
• Make sure end of drain hose is correctly inserted and secured to drain facility.
• If there is a drain restriction, call for service.
• Avoid overloading.
• Use high-efficiency detergent to prevent over-sudsing.
• Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
• Straighten drain hoses. Eliminate kinked hoses. If there is a drain restriction, call for service.
• Open and close the lid and push the Start/Pause pad. For your safety, washer will not
tumble or spin unless the lid is closed.
• After pressing the Start/Pause pad, it may take up to one minute before the clothes
washer begins to spin.The lid must lock before spin can be achieved.
• See "Tub is Completely Full of Suds", page 11.
• Plug cord into live electrical outlet.
• Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
• Open and close lid and push the Start/Pause pad to start the washer. For your safety,
washer will not tumble or spin unless lid is closed.
• On some cycles, the tumbling stops and the washer pauses during the cleaning process.
• There may be a pause or soak period in the cycle. Wait briefly and it may start.
• The washer is equipped with a lid switch failure detector. If the lid switch should
malfunction, the detector will stop operation for your safety. Call for service.
• Check screens on inlet hoses at the faucets for obstructions. Clean screens periodically,
especially if you have new water lines or hard water.
• Disconnect the washer from the electrical supply
and leave the washer lid open to let air circulate
inside the tub.
• If the washer has been stored in below-freezing
temperatures, allow time for any water left over in
the washer to thaw out prior to use.This may
take several hours.
