Micro Wire Feed
CAUTION
• Turn off and disconnect the welder
before starting to feed the micro wire.
• Open the micro wire feeding mechanism moving
downwards and to the left the blocking / tension knob (A).
The pressure rod (B) will open revealing and uncovering
the feed rod (C).
• Release the micro wire from the spool and cut any bent,
damaged or burred portion from the micro wire end.
Keep the micro wire tense all the time to prevent the
spool from unrolling.
• Straighten approximately 17" micro wire and push softly
through the feeding mechanism.
• Confirm the micro wire is aligned with the notch
corresponding to feed rod diameter (D) This step is
important so that the micro wire is pushed correctly. The
feeding rod has two notches: for 0,023" and 0,031" wires.
This welder includes an additional feeding rod for 0,031"
and 0,039" wires. To select the notch to be used, turn the
knob (E) and remove it. The selected notch
measurements are visible in the feeding rod edge (F). If
needing to use the other notch carefully remove the
feeding rod and turn it around (G). Remember the
selected notch is always the one furthest away from the
knob.
• Set back the pressure rod into the original position and
secure lifting the blocking 7 tension knob onto the middle
position, for example, 2 and 3.
• Hold the torch to remove the nozzle (H) unscrewing
carefully.
• Then, unscrew the contact tip (I) to remove it and to
free the torch outlet.
• Confirm the welder switch is in the OFF position and the
ground clamp is away from the torch tip.
• Connect the welder to the power supply and turn on the
welder switch.
• Set the micro wire speed knob into position 5 or 6.
• Untangle the entire torch cable to have it as straight as
possible and to press the micro wire feeding button (J)
placed above the feeding mechanism. The micro wire (K)
will be fed through the cable and the torch. Allow the
micro wire sticks out approximately 4" through the torch
outlet.
• Turn off and disconnect the welder from the power
supply.
• Slide the contact nozzle over the micro wire and tighten
back in place.
• Slide the nozzle through the micro wire and screw
carefully into the torch outlet.
