Running TAPI compliant applications
If your kit contains the Personal Productivity Suite CD-ROM, you can install:
• Norstar TAPI Service Provider
• Norstar Personal Call Manager
To install this software, follow the instructions contained in the guide inserted in the inside
cover of the CD-ROM case.
Running other applications
Depending on the product purchased, the package may contain other Desktop CTI
software. Follow the installation instructions that came with the software.

Install the CTA 160i in your PC

The CTA 160i is installed in a PCI expansion slot in your PC.
Important: The instructions below are generic instructions for installing the CTA 160i.
Refer to the manual that came with your PC for detailed instructions on how to
open the PC and install expansion cards.
1. Shut down your PC and turn power switch off.
2. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the outer cover from your PC.
4. Select an unused PCI expansion slot.
5. Remove the cover of the selected PCI slot from the rear panel of the PC. Save the
retaining screw.
Note: If a plastic insert covers the expansion slot, use a screwdriver to remove it.
You can discard the insert.
6. Insert the CTA 160i card into the PCI slot. Align the elongated notch on the card
bracket with the screw hole in the rear panel of the PC.
7. Insert and tighten the retaining screw that you removed in step 5.
8. Replace the PC's cover and secure it properly.
9. Plug the PC power cord into the wall outlet and turn the power switch ON.
