3. Defective motor
4. Impeller obstructed
5. Not properly primed
Pump shuts off and
1. Excessive water temperature
turns on independently
2. Pump has run dry or insufficient fluid
(trips thermal overload
protection)
3.
Pump operates noisily
1. Worn bearings
or vibrates excessively
2. Impeller obstructed / broken

3. Worn or defective pump parts or plugged
4. Pump running backwards
5. Pump not properly sized for ap pli cation
6. Check valve stuck closed or installed
7. Shut off valve closed (If present)
8. Air trapped in volute
1. No oiling is required for this pump.
2. Disassembly of the motor prior to
expiration of war ran ty WILL void the
warranty. It might also cause internal
leakage and damage to the unit. If
repairs are re quired, return the pump to
the dealer from whom it was purchased
or contact local electrical repair shop
station.

Corrective Action(s)
1. If blown, replace with proper sized fuse or re set break er
2. Contact an electrician
3. Replace pump
4. If im pel ler will not turn, remove base and re move debris
5. Reposition pump in at least 2-5/8 in. of water to properly operate
1. Pump should not be used for water above 120°
2. Reposition pump in adequate water (pump uses water for cooling)
Pump may start unexpectedly
Disconnect power supply before servicing
3. Contact an electrician
1. Replace pump
2. Remove base, clean impeller and/or replace broken impeller
1. Contact an electrician
2. Remove, clean and check for tight ness
3. Clean parts if required, or replace pump
4. Check rotation (CCW from bottom); return if CW
5. Recheck all sizing calculations to de ter mine proper pump size
6. Remove and examine check valve for proper installation and free
operation
7. Open valve
8a. Start and stop unit until air is not present in discharge
8b. Tilt pump on its side underwater and allow air to escape from inlet
(Do not touch pump while plugged in)
