Vacuum only dry ashes.
Never use this device for vacuuming liquids or wet substances. Use this device only to
vacuum dry dust material.
Humidity can cause short-circuits, which may lead to a fire hazard or electroshock.
Do not use water to extinguish a fire or to cool off ashes. Do not vacuum ashes that have been
extinguished or cooled with water.
Do not vacuum dangerous substances.
To reduce the risk of health hazards from vapours or dust, do not vacuum toxic materials.
Do not vacuum, or use this ash vacuum cleaner near flammable liquids, gases, or explosive vapours
like gasoline or other fuels, lighter fluids, cleaners, solvents, oil-based paints, natural gas, hydrogen,
or explosive dusts like coal dust, magnesium dust, grain dust, or gun power. Sparks inside the motor
can ignite flammable vapours or dust.
Do not vacuum corrosive materials.
Do not vacuum soot.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner for the separation of health-hazardous dusts (dust classes L, M, H).
Do not vacuum toner, plaster, lime, or other fine powders. This can block the filter or filter enclosure
and reduce the suction.
Do not vacuum cement, or dust from stone, brick, or drilling.
Do not vacuum pointy or sharp objects such as nails, pins, or glass shards. Sharp objects can damage
the vacuum cleaner and the filter.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner on humans or pets to prevent accidents. Do not use to vacuum up
insects. Do not vacuum clothes that are worn on the body.
Keep the nozzle well away from ear, eyes, and other body parts.

General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications
to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and
the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Use this device with original accessories only. Use only spare parts as specified in the technical
specifications at the end of this manual. The usage of foreign spare parts or accessories can lead to
damage that will void the warranty.
Keep this manual for future reference.
5.
Operation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
Assembly
1.
Take out the vacuum cleaner and the accessories from the packaging.
2.
Release both metal clamps [7] and lift the top cover [6] by the handle [5].
3.
Verify that the filter [10] and filter enclosure [11] are installed correctly.
4.
Close the canister [8] by placing the cover [6] back and closing the metal clamps [7].
5.
Insert the hose [2] into the hose connection [3] and turn counter-clockwise to secure it.
6.
Push the nozzle [1] onto the hose [2].
Using the Vacuum Cleaner
1.
Place the device on a flat, dry, non-slippery surface.
2.
Plug the power cord into a suitable, earthed mains outlet.
3.
Press the on/off switch [4] to switch on.
4.
Vacuum up the cold ashes.
