4. Mounting Instructions

The following procedure is recommended for mounting the series 1000 fixed dome camera to a
ceiling.
1. Position the dome so that the slot in the side of the casting is pointing
generally in the centre of the desired field of view. From this position
adjustment of approximately ±175 Degrees can be achieved.
2. Using the product mounting holes as a guide, mark the positions of the
fixing holes.
3. Drill 7mm Dia holes in the ceiling to the correct depth of the wall plugs
supplied (Always wear safety goggles when drilling)
4. Insert wall plugs until flush with wall.
5. Place the screws through the unit and place the plastic spacer over the
screw. The addition of this spacer prevents the wall plug from being
pulled out of the ceiling during tightening.
6. Offer up dome camera and secure with fixings supplied.
Note: Where the unit is to be mounted on false or insubstantial ceilings then the product must be
mounted in such a way that ensures it safe and secure. The use of a backing plate is recommend-
ed in these applications.
