ZEP608 Self-Powered 8-Zone Expansion Module
The ZEP608 allows the installation of additional 8 self-powered zones to the FORCE Series intruder alarm systems. The module is based
on the ZEX508 expansion module and is powered by the PS-2 power supply. It is assembled in a metal case, designed to carry a lead-
acid backup battery (not supplied), and has a hinged cover.
The PS-2 supplies 1A to 13.8VDC current. It can indicate the ZEX508 on AC loss and low battery states, and is powered by
220-240V mains.
Warnings
 Do not use the ZEP608 near water.
 Do not operate or touch this module with wet hands.
 Do not open the case when it is connected to AC mains.
 Use a grounded 3-pin AC source.
 This module is intended for indoor use only.
 Do not operate or place this module in a humid or dusty location.
 Do not operate this unit in direct sunlight or near any heat source.

How to mount and install the ZEP608
Mount the ZEP608 on a flat surface. Follow the next steps.
1. Open the door, lift and remove it.
2. Use the holes on the back side of the box or break the side knock outs and pass the zones
and bus wires.
3. Mount the case on a flat surface, using the keyholes.
4. Set the ZEX508's ID-no. dip switch; see the settings on the first page.
5. Connect the wiring.
6. Connect to mains.
7. Close the box's cover.
8. Test the expander using the
