MOTOR ASSEMBLY TO PUMP END INSTRUCTIONS
NEMA 56C Frame motor assembly to VR pump end
• Assemble NEMA flange adaptor to motor frame using (4) 3/8"-16 x 5/8" long socket head cap screws.
Torque to 21 ft-lb ± 2 ft-lb
• Remove coupling shield from pump end assembly.
• Apply an anti-seize lubricant to the motor shaft.
• Make sure motor shaft key is in position.
• Align motor assembly to pump end and bolt together with (4) M6 x 30mm long socket head cap screws.
Torque to 6 ft-lb ± 2ft-lb
• Reinstall coupling guard.
NEMA 182/184 Frame motor assembly to VR pump end
• Assemble NEMA flange adaptor to motor frame using (4) 1/2-13 x 1.0" long socket head cap screws.
Torque to 53 ft-lb ± 5 ft-lb
• Same steps as above only torque (4) M8 x 50mm long socket head cap screws used for motor assembly
to pump end mounting to 12 ft-lb ± 2 ft-lb
NEMA 213/215 Frame motor assembly to VR pump end
• Apply an anti-seize lubricant to the motor shaft.
• Make sure motor shaft key is in position.
• Align motor to pump end and bolt together with (4) 1/2-13 x 1.0" long socket head cap screws.
Torque to 53 ft-lb ± 5 ft-lb
