The Trapp Sharpener is suitable for sharpening
with precision, safety and speed all the Knives and
Counter-Blades of the Trapp Machines and similar
ones with the same geometric features.

Position the rear flange (01) in the motor shaft, and
insert the socket set screw (02) tightening it with the
aid of a wrench. Then position the grinder (03), the
front flange (04), the contact washer (05) and the
hexagonal head bolt in the direction of the motor
shaft, and tighten with the aid of a wrench.
Note that it rotates in a counterclockwise direction
(looking at its front).

Attach the Counter-Blade on the upper surface of
the support, fastening it with the handwheels as
shown in Fig. C - 3.
Place the surface of the Counter-Blade against the
grinder and adjust its angle through the support
(Fig B-1).
Rotating the handle (Fig. B - 5), approach the
Counter-Blade to the grinder.
Turn on the grinder activating the electric switch.
Start the sharpening and with pendular
movements bring the Counter-Blade closer until
starting the contact. Continue the movements and
at the same time advancing the Counter-Blade
against the grinder, advancing with the handle
(Fig. B - 5). This advance should be executed
when the part is in contact with the grinder.
The sharpening will be complete when the
cutting edge of the Counter-Blade has been
entirely restored.
Ensure that the part does not heat up too much in
order not to have loss of resistance of the Counter-
Blade material.
