Placing in service
1. Connect the safety transformer at a location where it is dry and cannot be flooded. The
transformer must have at least 2 m clearance to the edge of the pond.
2. Place the halogen spotlight in the pond or next to the pond to a stable base.
3. Layout the power cord and connect it to the safety transformer.
Caution! The halogen spotlight heats up in normal operation.
Changing the bulb
1. Disconnect the light or the safety transformer from the mains power and secure it from being
switched on unintentionally.
2. Dry off the halogen spotlight.
3. Unscrew the screw ring (5) from the bulb housing (1).
4. Remove the protective glass (4) and the flat seal (3).
5. Take bulb (2) out of its mounting and replace it.
Caution! Do not touch the bulb directly with your hand as this significantly reduces the service life
of the bulb. Use a piece of paper or a soft cloth to replace the bulb.
6. The power consumption on the bulb and that on the nameplate must agree.
7. Replace the flat seal (3) and the protective glass (4).
8. Screw the screw ring (5) onto the bulb housing (1).
The replacement bulbs, type MR16, are available in specialist departments of high-street stores.
Wearing parts
Bulbs are wear parts and are excluded from the warranty.
Cleaning
1. Disconnect the light or the safety transformer from the mains power and secure it from being
switched on unintentionally.
2. Clean the halogen spotlight with warm water without cleaning agents using a soft brush or cloth.
Ensure that no moisture gets into the bulb housing.
