8. Maintenance

Regularly (about once a month) empty the boiler from water and flakes. Then, fill it with 1 litre tap water,
using the refilling bottle. Shake well the boiler to remove flakes and empty the water tank. Repeat this
operation two or three times to remove all flakes and impurities.
For an easier cleaning detach the steam generating unit following these indications:
- place the iron on the ironing board
- unscrew the black cap on the underside of the appliance and the screw
- place a bucket under the boiler of the ironing board, fill the boiler with water using the refilling bottle;
the water will go through the boiler and come out from the hole underneath.
- before screw cap and screw back on make sure there are no residues of water inside the boiler.

Important: never pour detergents or decalcifying substances into the steam generator. Never service
the steam generator until it is under pressure. Service the appliance only when it has completely cooled
down.
Replacing the Airflux IB 10 cover
With the use, the cover wears out and has to be replaced. For your safety (heated ironing board)
and to guarantee a perfect performance it would be better to use original covers.
Lined covers (ex., an expanded lining on the underside or a "silver cover" on the upper side) are unfit
for this appliance and may cause an overheating. The cover is available at our authorized Service Cent-
ers.
Warning:
In case of faults, or faulted appliance or if you suspect the appliance has been damaged after falling
down, immediately pull the plug out of the mains socket. Repairs must be carried out only at an author-
ised Service Centre. Repairs carried out by unskilled personnel may result in serious dangers for the
user. We take no responsibilities for damages caused by repairs carried out by unskilled personnel.
Unauthorized repairs terminates the warranty.
