Problem
The motor does not operate
when the start button is
pressed.
The machine wheel is not
driven by the motor.
The wheel rotation is slow
or irregular.
There is forward and
backward play in the wheel.
The pipe is not held
sufficiently by the vice.
The dies do not enter
the pipes sufficiently.
Possible causes
The power socket is not
connected to the electrical
power source.
The power source voltage
is too low.
The motor brushes are
worn.
The start button is not
working.
The motor is burnt out.
The transmission is broken
The power source voltage
is too low.
The transmission is defective.
The bearings are worn.
The jaws are worn.
The jaws are worn.
The dies are fouled.
The dies are worn.
The die numbering has not
been complied with.
Corrective actions
Connect the socket to the
electrical power source.
Check the voltage delivered by
the electrical power source. (The
voltage must not be less than
150 V).
Replace the brushes by new
ones (see page).
Replace the button.(Warning: do
not short circuit the start button.
Contact Virax or their
representative to change
the motor.
Contact Virax or their
representative to change
the transmission.
Check the source voltage.
(It must not be less than V).
Contact Virax or their
representative to change
the transmission.
Replace the vice.
Replace the jaws.
Clean the ends of the dies
with a metal brush.
Replace the die head.
Remove the dies and replace
them and ensure the numbering
of the dies is complied with: die
no.1 in socket no. 1, die no.2
in socket no.2, etc.
