6 Special Product Features

• The suction power is independent of the drill
speed because the dust extractor has its own
motor. Full suction power is achieved, even at
low speeds, e.g. when starting drilling.
• Power of the drill does not decease when used
with the dust extractor.
• Up to 100 regeneration cycles of the fluted filter.
• Wear parts subject to heavy mechanical stress
(sealing cap, fluted filter, gasket for dust collec-
tion box) can be replaced without special tools.
• Easy to attach: Guide rails prevent the dust
extractor from tilting when connected to the
drill.
• The gasket for the dust collection box (8) can be
used on both sides. Simply turn worn gasket.
7 Use
7.1
Attaching and disconnecting a dust
extractor from the drill
Switch off the machine.
Remove the plug from the power socket.
Remove the hook (if available).
10
Attach: Insert the dust extractor into the guide
grooves (2) from below and slide until it latches
into place.
Remove: Press and hold the release knob (4).
Remove the dust extractor downwards.
7.2
Inserting a drill bit
See illustration on page 3.
1. Insert the drill bit through the sealing cap (5)
with the tip facing backwards.
2. Insert the shaft of the drill bit in the chuck
(as described in the operating instructions
for the drill).
7.3

Switching On and Off

Insert the power plug on the drill.
Switch on: Press the trigger on the drill: the dust
extractor switches on automatically.
Switch off: Release the trigger on the drill: the dust
extractor switches off automatically.
7.4
Drilling with dust extraction
1. Retract the telescopic (7) rod until the drill bit
protrudes from the front.
2. Place the drill bit at the required position.
3. Place the suction nozzle (6) flat on the surface,
4. Hold the machine upright so that the suction
nozzle (6) remains flat on the surface.
5. Hold the machine firmly, switch on and drill the
hole.
6. Slowly remove the drill bit from the hole.
7. Switch off the machine.
7.5
Removing and cleaning dust collection
box and fluted filter
If the extraction capacity is reduced, empty dust
collection box (8) and remove fluted filter (10) if
necessary and clean with compressed air.
The fluted filter can be reused up to 100 times.
Hold the machine horizontally and allow to run for
a short time so that any residual dust in the
machine is drawn into the fluted filter.
Switch off the machine.
Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Removing and cleaning:
See illustration on page 3.
Keep the machine upright! If the dust collection
box (8) is removed when the machine is horizontal,
drilling dust can escape!
Ensure that drilling dust cannot penetrate
your body or harm other persons.
