Measurements

4.3.1 AC voltage measurements

Turn selector switch (5) to V ~.
Plug the black test lead into the "COM" socket and the
red lead into the "V/Ω" socket.
Connect the probes to the UUT and
Read the display.
If the display is not visible during measurement, press
the "HOLD" (3) button to retain the display. The clamp
can then be removed from the conductor and the sto-
red value read.

4.3.2 DC voltage measurements

Turn selector switch (5) V (DC).
Plug the black test lead into the "COM" socket and the
red lead into the "V/Ω" socket.
Connect the probes to the UUT and
Read the display.
If the display is not visible during measurement, press
the "HOLD" (3) button to retain the display. The clamp
can then be removed from the conductor and the sto-
red value read.

4.4 Continuity tests

Disconnect the UUT from all sources of supply and
check that it is at zero voltage !
Turn selector switch (5) to •)))
Plug the black test lead into the "COM" socket and the
red lead into the "V/Ω" socket.
Connect the probes to the UUT.
A "beep" sounds if the resistance is less than 40 V
