TRIGGER LOCK MECHANISM

(Fig. 10) This tool has a Trigger Lock. The trigger should be
locked at all times until you intend to drive nail into the work sur-
face. Push and rotate the trigger lock dial 1 clockwise from
LOCK to UNLOCK position immediately before driving nails.
When fastening is complete, push and rotate switch counter-
clockwise to LOCK position.
DIRECTIONAL EXHAUST COVER (CN450G, CN452S,
CN552S, CN650M, CN890S)
(Fig.11) Direction of the exhaust air is changeable by rotating ex-
haust cover by hand.
HOW TO REMOVE USED PLASTIC SHEET COLLATION
(Fig.12) As nails are driven the plastic sheet will feed out of the
tool. When 2" (50mm) or more has been fed out it can be torn
away by pulling against the tear edge in the nose.
REMOVING JAMMED NAILS (Fig.13)
WARNING
• ALWAYS disconnect the air supply.
• Wear gloves when removing jams; do not use bare hands
• Confirm that you have removed all nails from nose of tool
before reconnecting to air supply.
1
Disconnect the air supply.
2
Open the tool door and remove nails from inside of the mag-
azine.
3
Insert a thin metal stick in the tool nose and hit the metal
stick with a hammer or remove the jam with a flathead
screwdriver.
4
Put back the nails on the feed pawl and close the tool door
METAL CONTACT TIP FOR FLOORING APPLICATION
CONTACT TIP REPLACEMENT (CN238D, CN452S)
See Fig.14, 15
1
Mount the metal contact tip 1 firmly, onto the contact arm 2.
2
Metal contact tip 1 can be mounted with tool in horizontal
or vertical position.
3
Place the tool onto the flooring material 3 as illustrated.
RUBBER CONTACT TIP FOR DRY WALL
APPLICATION (CN552S, CN890S)
Attach the contact tip on the tip of contact arm, when driving nails
to a soft material.
(Fig.16) The contact tip can be kept at the Magazine 1 when not
using.
HOW TO REPLACE THE HOLDER (CN650M)
ALWAYS disconnect air supply before attaching / detaching the
holder.
(Fig.17) To detach the holder 1, insert a screwdriver, etc. into its
joint and squeeze. When reattaching it, make sure that it has
been securely fit in.
ABOUT VERTICAL DRIVING STAND
(CN650M Optional)
The vertical driving stand is optionally available. The following
describes how to mount and use it.
MOUNTING THE VERTICAL DRIVING STAND (Fig.18)
The vertical driving stand comes with 5×10 hexagon socket head
bolts (2 pieces) 1 and a hexagon wrench key-4 2.
Attach the 5 ×10 hexagon socket head bolts (2 pieces) to under
the magazine of the apparatus, using the hexagon wrench key-4.

This machine is specially designed for 1.6- to 3.2-mm-thick light
gage steel. When using it, consider the member material and

(Fig.19) Pull the lever 1 in the arrow direction to raise the
stand.
(Fig.20, 21) The height can be adjusted in tune with the sid-
ing shape; it can be adjusted within 25mm by turning the
screw found under the bottom of the stand, using a coin,
etc.

necessary. Pull the lever in the arrow direction. This allows
you to fold the vertical driving stand.

Select the nail length at least 10mm longer 5 than the total
thickness of each member 4.
The groundwork material used for the light gage steel 3
should be 3.2mm or less, and the exterior members 1 such
as sheet zinc should be 0.7mm or less.
Never drive 38- to 50-mm nails directly to the light gage
steel 3, because they will fly off, endangering you very
much.
Be sure to apply the nose of the ejection port to the member
at a right angle 3. If applied obliquely, the nails will fly off,
endangering you very much.
Never use for the roof (roof groundwork included) or ceiling
(ceiling groundwork included).
Too much driving to the metal plate reduces a holding force
extremely. Check the driving circumstances fully prior to
work. (Fig.24)
