ADJUSTMENT CUTTING DEPTH. By loosening screw V with the provided wrench, it is possible to move bearing P
forward or backward so as to make the blade project by the necessary distance. For straight cuts the bearing should be
moved back completely to R. For curved cuts it should be moved forward as much as possible in order to work with the
narrowest part of the blade, thus facilitating curved cuts C.
N.B.: Do not remove the rest P, since it also acts as a blade guard.
CUTTING. Make sure the blade is property inserted and tightened before starting the tool. Start the tool as described
previously. When cutting, you should not exert excessive pressure on the tool, but rather follow it gently. This gives the
best results, especially for curved cuts: for these cuts, the blade must be kept perpendicular to the sheet and the saw must
be held with both hands. In general we recommend using oil or grease for saws/threading, especially in the case of sheet
aluminium. Cool the blade every now and then in water to prevent it from overheating: this reduces the risk of breakage.
Blade breakage may create risks for the operator: always wear safety goggles and cut-resistant work gloves.
WARNINGS. For operator safety:
make sure the working environment is lit correctly;
keep the working area clean and tidy;
wear appropriate clothing: do not wear loose clothes or jewellery which may get caught in moving parts; tie back
long hair;
wear ear defenders;
use hold-down devices to secure the part to be worked;
always keep a firm hold on the saw grip;
ensure you always have a steady resting point and keep your balance;
stop working if there are any abnormal vibrations or noises;
Ober declines responsibility for the use of unsuitable cutting fluids or those which produce harmful vapours which
may be inhaled by the operator.
NOTES
Never approach people or animals with the saw.
Do not touch moving or operating parts and/or accessories.
If the saw jolts (drops, etc.) check that the machine body is undamaged, the moving parts are undamaged and
their movement is not obstructed; if you find cracks, breaks or any other condition which may limit tool operation,
use of the tool is prohibited.
If there are any abnormal vibrations or noises, irregular saw operation or the blade stops permanently during
cutting, stop working immediately and contact the authorised service centres to restore normal working conditions.
Use the saw for short periods of time.

RESIDUAL RISKS

The SATT300 saw has a cutting tool; despite the presence of a guard and the fact that you must use both hands
to operate the equipment correctly, a residual risk of cutting by the blade and possible burrs/edges formed during
cutting remains.
There are possible risks deriving from:
inhalation of nebulised oil due to excessive lubrication and failure to use the exhaust unit;
blade breakage and chips of material flung out during cutting;
whiplash movements of the supply hose (see section on power "SUPPLY" which is the user's responsibility).
N.B.: The SATT300 bears the labels and symbols required by UNI 792-12 which remind the user of the need to consult
the Use and Maintenance manual before starting work and the fact that wearing ear defenders, safety goggles and gloves
is mandatory.
