Carbon brushes
The carbon brushes may wear down to the white marking. Replace the carbon brushes with
spare brushes from CIBO only. Using other carbon brushes results in loss of guarantee.
The carbon brushes have the reference no. 110V : SMFP/316034930 and 220V : SMFP/316035510
and can be ordered from CIBO.
You can observe the brush sparks via the air slits. Turn the machine off immediately if too many
sparks are generated. To prevent further significant damage we advise sending the machine to
one of our CIBO customer service workshops for repair.
Replacing the multi-V belt
Remove the lid with the logo from the machine by unscrewing the 2 bolts SMFTN/013 on the
back of the Finitube. Then slacken the tension roller SMFTN/015 and take the belt off the drive
wheels.
Take the new belt and lay this around the drive wheels. Position the belt under the tension roller
so that it returns to the required tension.
Fit the lid back on the Finitube by tightening the bolts on the back.
Replacing the wearing plate
Replace the wearing plate SMFTN/028 by loosening the fixing bolt SMFTN/026. Replace the
wearing plate and screw this back on by tightening the fixing bolt.
Cleaning
Ensure that the machine and the ventilation slots are always kept clean so that you can work
efficiently and safely. In extreme working conditions, such as finishing metals, conductive dust
can collect inside the machine. In that case we advise the regular use of a compressor to clean
the ventilation slits. Also use a residual current device in the electric connection.
