Features and terminology for Mesis
• Mesis
aesthetic pressotherapies are sequential and intermittent;
®
• Program - method of inflating the cuffs;
• Cuffs and sections - elements that including the applicator and that fill with air. In Mesis
sthetic pressotherapies, you switch between the equipment of the models with 4 cuffs for each
applicator and the models with 6 cuffs for each applicator.
• Cycle – one cycle equals the inflation of all cuffs, from the first to the last one independent of
the program used. After inflation of the last cuff, there is a break and then a new cycle starts;
• Cycle speed – it is the time required for the unit to complete one cycle. Mesis
are capable of adjusting the speed of the cycles switching from a minimum of one cycle per mi-
nute to a maximum of two cycles per minute (in 5 intermediate levels);
• Applicator – pneumatic relaxation elements composed of several cuffs that are sequentially
inflated and regulated by the selected program, (foot/leg sleeves, armband and abdominal/but-
tocks belt)
• Time - duration of session (adjustable from 1 to 60 minutes);
• Pressure - amount of air admitted into the cuffs to carry out the lymphatic massage on indi-
viduals the pressure in each cuff can be continuously adjusted. (from 50 mmHg to a maximum
level of 280 mmHg (+-10%));
• Connector - connecting hoses between the unit and applicators. Thanks to „one touch connect",
inserting the connecting hoses for air to the unit is easy and immediate. The connection between
the connector and the accessories is a "bayonet" style connections with a safety.
The operating cycle of a pressure exerted by the use of pressotherapy is one that follows the
physical movements of blood and lymph in a distal - proximal direction. From the extremities
toward the centre.
The treatment is sequential. The pressures start to inflate the cuff situated at the extremities of
the limb (for example, in the legs, it starts at the feet) and leads to the base of the same limb,
thereby subsequently inflating the cuffs (for example, in the legs to the groin area).
