Advice and limitations:
• Before using your new KAPRIOL helmet read the instructions for use carefully and
keep them. Please contact an authorised KAPRIOL dealer if the instructions are not
sufficiently clear. It is up to you to understand and follow the correct way to use the
helmet. Not paying attention to these instructions could prejudice the protection given
by the helmet. The manufacturer and/orm distributor do not accept any responsibility
in the event of an accident or death caused by incorrect use of the helmet.
• The protection given by the helmet depends on the circumstances of the accident; wea-
ring the protective helmet cannot always prevent death or long- term physical disability.
• In any case no helmet can guarantee total protection against injury, it does not protect
the nape or face and impacts could affect the cervical area and damage it. Be careful!
• Check the compatibility of all the accessories you intend to use with the helmet. For
example, possible goggles or sunglasses must not interfere with the correct positio-
ning of the helmet.
• The helmet is designed to absorb part of the force of an impact with the partial de-
struction of the shell or the protective padding or both. This damage is not necessarily
visible and so any helmet that suffers an impact must be disposed of and replaced
with a new one. The impact, in fact, may have reduced the shell's capacity to absorb
blows (the absorbing material could have performed its protective function and may no
longer be able to support another impact). All the more reason why a helmet that has
suffered a violent impact should be disposed of and destroyed.
• Check the internal and external condition of the KAPRIOL helmet and the strap before
and after use. If cuts, abrasions or any other damage are present, contact an authori-
sed KAPRIOL dealer or replace the helmet.
• The life of the helmet depends on various factors including temperature variations,
contact with chemical products, direct sunlight, improper use and more or less intense
use. The helmet has an average life of 5 years since the production date. Frequent re-
placement is recommended if the helmet is used intensely. The date of manufacture is
shown on the helmet. A helmet must be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear.
