retailer for recycling. You may also contact your local recycling center for

Chargers
WARNING:
Read all instructions and cautionary markings in
manuals, and on charger, battery pack, and when used, mounting bracket.
When used outside a vehicle's enclosed passenger compartment,
the battery charger must be mounted. See accompanying Vehicle
Charger Mount Assembly Guide.
• Do not mount near heat producing items such as engine exhaust.
• Mount and adjust L-bracket so that bottom is horizontal.
• Be sure all fasteners are securely tightened before each use.
• Be sure strap is securely tightened before each use to keep battery pack
fully seated in charger.
• When installing mounting bracket, do not drill holes into or modify
vehicle so as to damage the vehicle or alter its operation.
Be sure to read all safety instructions before using your charger.
Consult the chart at the end of this manual for compatibility of
chargers and battery packs.
Connecting Power Supply (Fig. 2, 3)
WARNING:
Read and follow all safety warnings and
instructions. Do not charge batteries in explosive atmospheres. Ignition
may occur.

Connecting to a vehicle's 12-volt outlet (cigarette lighter socket)
1. Unwrap cord and connect the
12-volt power plug adapter to the
charger harness.
2. If installed, remove the lighter from
its outlet.
3. Push the 12-volt power plug firmly into
the outlet.
4. The charge indicator light will start
to blink. Refer to Indicator Light
Operation.
5. If charger does not turn on, check fuse located inside the plug. To
access, unscrew the plastic top. Be careful not to lose the metal tip.
Use replacement fuse of identical type and rating (10 amps). When
reassembling, be sure plastic top is securely tightened with metal tip in
place. If fuse continues to blow, take charger to a certified service center.
NOTICE: Disconnect charger from 12-volt outlet when not in use to
prevent vehicle battery from discharging.
Connecting to a vehicle's 12-volt battery
WARNING:
Fire hazard. To reduce risk of fire, route charger
cable away from heat producing parts such as engine, engine exhaust.
Keep charger cable away from sharp edges and pinch points.
1. Unwrap cord and connect the 12-volt power ring terminal adapter
to the charger harness.
2. Connect the ring terminals to a 12-volt
battery. Ensure you connect the RED
terminal end to the positive battery
post and BLACK terminal end to the
negative battery post. Using existing
bolts and nuts on your battery, firmly
secure the RED and BLACK terminal
ends to the battery posts.
