CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Place the opener on the base plate and put the
handle in the cutting position (handle horizon-
tal).
Remove the detent pin and pull out the blade
holder, tilting the handle slightly, if necessary.
Loosen the knurled screw and clean the blade.
To release the gear wheel, insert the tip of the
detent pin between the sheave and body, turn
the handle anticlockwise until the wheel uns-
crews and then proceed to clean it.
To clean the base plate, unscrew the nuts and
remove the holding screw.
After cleaning, inspect for possible wear and
replace any worn parts before reassembling
the unit.
Unscrew the screw to remove the knob.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

The opener must be cleaned in the
following way on a daily basis or
after intensive use:
Use warm soapy water to wash
the blade, gear wheel, knob, knob
spindle, handle and any splash
area on the opener. Do not leave
components soaking.
Use a dry cloth or paper towel to
thoroughly dry the blade, wheel
and opener.
Use light, non-sticky vegetable oil
to coat the blade and gear wheel
to prevent corrosion when the
opener is not in use.
ASSEMBLY
Insert the tube head into the base
plate. Fit the gear wheel into its
housing with the bevelled edge
facing downward.
Insert the spring and plastic
bushing into the body. Fit the
wheel/handle shank
bly onto the spring and plastic
bushing. Screw the wheel holder
shaft onto the wheel by turning it
clockwise.
Fit the blade holder onto the plastic
bushing, tilting the handle slightly if
necessary. Insert the detent pin.
