Baking waffles
Proceed as follows:
1. Grease the baking surfaces (6, 7)
once with a little vegetable oil before
beginning baking.
2. Close the cover (4).
3. Set the temperature control (5) to the
desired level. At the highest level, the
baking time is about 2 minutes, de-
pending on the batter.
4. Put the mains plug into a socket. The
red mains indicator lamp (1) lights and
the appliance begins heating up.
5. Wait a few minutes until the green in-
dicator lamp (2) lights up. Open the
cover and place about 60 ml of batter
(approx. 1 ladle) at the centre of the
lower baking surface (7). About 2 cm
of the outer baking surface towards
the edge should remain uncovered.
6. After 1 - 2 minutes, briefly open the
cover to see if the waffle has reached
the desired degree of browning. If it is
still too light, close the cover again and
continue baking until the waffle is
golden brown.
7. When the waffle is done, remove it.
8. Now place the batter for the next waf-
fle into the appliance and repeat the
baking process until you have made
the desired number of waffles.
9. Allow the appliance to cool down.
10. Clean the appliance as described in
the chapter Cleaning and care
(page 19).
