IMPORTANT!
be performed by a qualified electrician working according to accepted practice, installation
guidelines and applicable safety regulations.
Before switching on the apparatus, check that the supply voltage matches the indications
displayed on the product: connecting the apparatus to a different voltage may destroy it.
Isolate the power supply before intervention. Do not touch live components. Danger of
death! Electrical connections which do not conform to the diagrams given in the notice
and/or applicable installation requirements shall render the guarantee void.
To avoid erratic operation, do not bundle the AC line and motor wires with each other or with wires
from signal following, start/stop contacts, or any other signal wires. Also, do not bundle motor
wires from multiple drives in the same conduit. Use shielded cables on all signal wiring over 30cm.
The shield should be earth grounded on the drive side only. Wire the drive in accordance with the
local codes that may apply.
Be sure to properly fuse each AC line conductor that is not at ground potential. Do not fuse
neutral or grounded conductors. A separate AC line switch or contactor must be wired as a
disconnect so that each ungrounded conductor is opened. For fuse or circuit breaker selection,
see Table 2.
Frequency drives are fitted with class A, RFI filter. On a TN or TT neutral system this filter
must be present. When switch on, a high leakage current can arise. In case of use of a
differential circuit breaker, it must:
- work correctly with direct and alternating currents of leak to the earth and its caliber must
be superior at 300mA (type B).
- be adjustable in amplitude and in time to avoid inopportune releases when switch on.
This type of filter is not adapted to the installation on a network with IT impedant neutral
system. In that case it is necessary to remove the filter from the casing.
