Foreword
We should like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for buying a TiSUN® product. Our name is our guarantee for the high quality and durability of our products. Only authorised specialist com-
panies familiar with our products may handle and install them. Errors and omissions excepted. The General Terms and Conditions published by TiSUN GmbH in their latest version shall apply.
Important information, warranty and guarantee
■ Check the goods for any damage sustained in transport and describe any damage in writing on the delivery note where necessary. Later complaints of transport damage cannot be accepted.
■ Carefully read through the relevant installation instructions before starting installation, and follow each step.
■ You must comply with local regulations, laws and standards.
■ The frame must be capable of withstanding the local snow and wind loads and permit correct anchoring of the collectors in accordance with the standards.
■ The load bearing capacity of the roofi ng and the frame shall be specially checked or analysed by a structural engineer in each case.
■ The number of mounting brackets specifi ed by TiSUN (price list, technical catalogue, etc.) is based on an average collector loading per m². The maximum permissible collector loading per`m²
calculated from the number of mounting brackets taking into consideration the permissible loading on the mounting brackets. If a higher collector wind and snow loading (including snow sliding off the
roof) per m² is required, additional mounting brackets will have to be used. Roof pitches in excess of 30° also represent increased loading; additional mounting brackets must therefore also be used for
this variant.
■ The mounting substrate must be capable of withstanding the local snow and wind loads and permit correct anchoring of the collectors.
■ To avoid damage to the collectors and mounting frames from snow sliding off the roof, additional snow guards must be fi tted in suffi cient numbers around the collectors and above the collectors.
■ The collectors must be linked with the lightning arrester system and/or the building's earthing system in a suitable way by a licensed electrical fi tter.
■ Hydraulic connection of the collectors must be performed according to TiSUN specifi cations (Technical Catalogue, connection examples...).
■ Max. 6 modules can be connected in a row. Please take account of additional expansion compensation.
■ The collector connections must not be damaged, soiled or misaligned. Take care during transport, installation and connection of the modules! Do not remove the header protection at the top and
bottom from the collector until just before installation.
■ When connecting the modules to the riser, the expansion compensation (corrugated pipe) supplied must be installed. Otherwise the warranty is invalidated.
■ Always connect the collector forward and return fl ow to each other diagonally, otherwise please follow the connection examples.
■ Connections between left and right are interchangeable, but never between top and bottom. Please ensure diagonal connection.
■ Insert the brass support sleeve in the copper pipe before fi xing the clamping ring threaded connection.
■ Do not twist the headers when screwing together the connections. Hold threaded connection in the desired position and tighten clamping ring union nut with suitable torque.
■ Roof insertions for solar piping must be additionally sealed against water ingress (TiSUN accessories).
■ Use only original sensor pocket supplied.
■ Use only solar-compatible sealing material.
■ Use only the original mounting components supplied.
■ Stainless-steel screws may not be used again once they have been removed (danger of fracture).
■ Any conversion or modifi cation to the TiSUN product not expressly approved in writing by the manufacturer shall invalidate the warranty and guarantee.
■ No liability can be accepted for damage resulting from failure to observe the installation instructions.
Hazard notes
■ Only authorised specialist companies familiar with our products may handle them.
■ There is a risk of injury when handling module collectors, mounting accessories and fl ashings as these have sharp edges.
■ The module collector becomes very hot in sunlight. There is a high risk of burning.
■ There is a risk of falling during installation operations. Comply with the safety regulations in this regard.
■ Check the load bearing capacity and stability of the substrate onto which the collector is to be installed and which is needed for access during installation.
Notes on fi lling and commissioning
■ Because it is not usually possible to fully drain the solar circuit, the system must always be fl ushed, pressure-tested and operated with a suitable mixture of water and frost protection. The system must
never be fi lled with water (danger of frost).
■ Deaeration is performed by fl ushing the solar circuit. Only deaeration equipment authorised by TiSUN may be used. For full deaeration of the system, residual deaeration can be performed by opening
the clamping ring threaded connection on the sensor connection a little. Only then should the system pressure be increased to the required level.
■ Commissioning is performed when the system has been completely hydraulically connected, in the course of commissioning the solar station and control unit.
■ Do not fi ll the system when solar radiation is present (danger of scalding).
Dismantling, disposal
■ The units are dismantled in the reverse sequence to installation.
■ The roofi ng shall be properly sealed after the mounting brackets have been removed.
■ Materials shall be disposed of in an environmentally conscious manner.

FM-Transportation Devicee
The FM transportation device allows easy transportation of FM collectors by means of a crane or 2 persons. The transportation device has a frictional connection to the collector, whereby the clamping
force is produced by a star knob.
NB:
■ The FM transportation device is only suitable for TiSUN® FM-S and FM-W collectors
■ Note clamp positions for manual and crane installation
■ Examine transportation device and clamp for correct seating and good grip before lifting the collectors. Tightening torque for star knob 15 Nm
■ Collector installation by two persons: four transportation devices (2 sets)
■ Collector installation by crane: two transportation devices (1 set)
■ General local installation and safety regulations and laws apply for installation by persons or cranes
■ The collectors have a large surface exposed to wind. Please therefore be aware of possible wind hazards when using a crane for installation (the collector may fl ip over quickly). In this case immedia-
tely stop the crane operation and tprotect he collector against „swinging" (hazard of collector breakage).
