Self cleaning
The auto-clean function removes impurities from the steam chamber and scale from the soleplate. We
recommend to use this function after every 10–15 hours of ironing.
1. Fill the reservoir with water up to the maximum level mark and set the steam regulator to "
temperature control to maximum temperature and wait until the indicator light goes out.
2. Pull the power cord plug from the power outlet and turn the iron in a horizontal position over a sink or
a bathtub.
3. Hold the iron in a horizontal position and press the "Auto clean" button (fi g. 7), until the boiling water
evaporates and carries away all dirt.
4. You can clean the soleplate with wet cloth when it cools down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet prior to performing any maintenance. Cleaning shall
always be performed on a cooled appliance! Remove any sediments, starch residue or softener using a moist
(or wet) dish towel or a fi ne liquid cleaning agent and dry with soft dry fabric. Using wire wool or metal
objects can scratch the soleplate. Never clean the iron under running water, do not rinse or immerse the iron
into water! Always make sure the steam iron is completely cooled, clean and dry before putting it away. Store
the iron in an upright position. Wind the power cord carefully around the entirely cooled down iron (fi g. 8).
After you have fi nished using the iron, open the nozzle lid, pour out the remaining water, set the steam
control to " " and the temperature control to minimum.
