If you experience a problem while using your TR-40CRA Digital-to-Analog TV
Converter, review these troubleshooting tables. Look under the Symptom
column, and find a description that matches your problem. Then, follow the
steps for that issue under Troubleshooting Steps.
Symptom
The remote
control doesn't
work.
The TR-40CRA
converter won't
turn on.

1 Verify the batteries are installed according to the battery
diagram on the remote control.
2 Try changing batteries in the TR-40CRA remote control.
3 Make sure you are pointing the remote control directly at
the front panel of your TR-40CRA converter. The remote
control uses infrared (IR) signals to operate the TR-
40CRA, and must have line of sight to the TR-40CRA
converter.
1 Ensure the power cord for the TR-40CRA converter is
plugged into a working electrical outlet.
2 Ensure the power cord is plugged fully into the TR-
40CRA power converter port.
3 Put new batteries in your TR-40CRA remote control, and
try pressing POWER on the remote control.
4 Try plugging the power cord for the TR-40CRA converter
into a different electrical outlet.
