Connect the unit to an extension cable. Lead the
extension cable through the handle and around the
strain relief (Fig. 4).
Always direct the cable backwards, away from the
device.
If a cable should be damaged during operation,
switch the device off and disconnect the mains cable
form the mains supply (pull the plug). Do not touch
the cable, before you interrupted the voltage supply.
Never carry the unit at its cable.
Disconnect the unit from the mains supply
-
if you leave the unit alone;
-
before removing a blockage;
-
before inspecting, cleaning, or other works at the
unit;
-
if the unit vibrates abnormally.
Operate the unit in daylight or sufficient artificial light-
ing only.
Do not bend forward too far, and always take care to
keep your balance.
Make sure to have a safe stand, when working on
inclines.
Move forward by walking – do never run!
Keep all cooling air vents (Fig. 5, D) free from depos-
its and debris.
It is recommended to connect the machine to the
mains supply over a residual current operated device
with a maximum breaking current of 30mA.
Always use weatherproof extension cables with high-
performance insulation approved for outdoor use.
WORKING IN VACUUM MODE
Make sure that the unit is switched off (on/off switch in
position 'off').
Turn the function switch (6) clockwise until the arrow
of the switch is aligned with the arrow of the vacuum
mode (VAC).
Switch on the device at the handle – always stand
in an upright position if you do so. Never switch the
device on, when you are kneeling or sitting next to
it.
Vacuum waste by moving the vacuum unit over the
area you wish to clean.
Note: When working on uneven ground or lawn surfaces,
it is recommended to use the driving roller so that the
vacuum opening is in a distance of several centimetres
from the ground. This prevents the sweeping brush from
getting stuck at obstacles on the ground, and the unit
can be moved easier. It also enhances the collection
of leaves.
The driving roller is located inside the suction funnel at
the lower side of the machine. Fig. 14 shows the normal
position – the driving roller is not activated.
To activate the driving roller lift off the driving roller's
holder using a screwdriver or similar tool as shown in Fig.
15. Pull the roller up until it locks into the notch provided
in the holder (Fig. 16).
When operating the machine on level ground, lower the
driving roller again as shown in Fig. 14.

MAINTENANCE AND USEFUL TIPS
CLEANING THE BLOWER PIPE
If the blower pipe or blower nozzle should be obstructed,
proceed as follows to clean it:

COLLECTING BAG
As with all bags of this kind, the material gets clogged with
small particles during operation. Therefore, some simple

Make sure that the wheeled vacuum/blower unit is
switched off (on/off switch in position 'off').
Turn the function switch (6) anticlockwise until the
arrow of the switch is aligned with the arrow of the
blower mode (BLOW).
Blow debris away by moving forward with the blower
making sweeping movements.
Never blow debris into the direction of onlookers.
Avoid moving the unit backwards over unclean
surfaces in blower mode.
As an additional feature, the unit offers the possibility
to direct the airflow in a certain direction. To do so,
turn the blower control knob (11) on the blower nozzle
into the desired direction (Fig. 6).
(Fig. 7 – 9)
If the bag is full, switch off the vacuum unit at the
handle and pull the plug.
Loose the locking ring (Fig. 7 C) from the bag frame
and slide it along the handle tube, until it locks in
place at the lower end of the handle.
Grab the bag handle and push the yellow locking
lever (Fig. 8 B) down to release the support. If the
support has been released, the user must carry the
bag's weight alone.
Lift the upper part of the bag frame away from the
unit, and put the bag on the ground.
Use both hands to carry the filled bag to your dustbin
or compost heap; make sure that the bag's opening
is directed upwards when carrying it (Fig. 9).
Turn the bag around to empty the mulched debris
into the dustbin/onto the compost heap. If debris
should remain stuck in the bag, open the two Velcro
fasteners at the top of the bag and turn it inside out.
Switch the unit off at the handle and pull the plug to
disconnect the unit from the mains supply.
Remove the two screws (Fig. 10, E) located laterally
at the blower nozzle.
Turn the blower nozzle and pipe up to loosen the
bayonet fixing (F) at the function switch (Fig. 11).
Remove the short pipe and the pipe from the function
switch (Fig. 12).
Remove the obstruction. You can use a flexible hose
to push the obstructing material out of the pipe (Fig.
13).
Perform the above steps in reversed order to reas-
semble the unit.
NEVER USE THE VACUUM/BLOWER UNIT WITH-
OUT BLOWER PIPE.
