Keep this tool out of the reach of children.
Remove the plug from the socket before repairing,
servicing or performing maintenance work on the unit.
If the tool falls check that it is undamaged.
These tools do not require the third wire for earth
connection.
Do not expose to humidity or rain.
Keep children away from the work area.
Always use protective goggles, dust-
damping mask, ear mufflers and other
protective outfit such as protective
gloves, skull-guard and overalls
when necessary.
Only use recommended accessories.
Before polishing, make sure that the various accessories
are in perfect working order.
For maximum performance never use damaged or worn
accessories.
Make sure that the work place is free of obstructions.
Make sure that the piece being machined is firmly
positioned.
For tools that utilisa disks with threaded holes, make sure
that the disk thread is long enough to take the length of the
threaded section of the shaft.
Do not use circular saw blades or abrasive diks.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Before plugging the tool into an electric outlet, ensure that
the line voltage corresponds to that indicated on the data
plate.
Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
If a 13 amp. (B. S. 1363) plug is used a 13 amp. fuse must
be fitted. A 5 amp must be pretected by a 5 amp fuse
either in the plug or adaptor or at the distribution board.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
These tools are not fitted with a safety guard.
They are low speed tools which allow the user to smooth,
polish and finish any number of surfaces with absolute
precision.
They are ideal for use in auto bodywork shops for
smoothing bodyfillers and buffing surfaces and also for
evenly applying abrasive pastes (polis) etc. and polishing
pastes in general.
These tools are also indicated for use by cabinet mekers
for all polisching requirements and can even be used to
clean rusted surfaces, plastic materials or any surface
requiring a low speed operation.
IMPORTANT: Always use the accessory best suited to
the type of surface to be polished.

PREPARATION AND SETTING UP
To remove the tool from the box, grip the work head with
one hand and the body with the other.
Mount tha accessory specified for the particular application
in question.
THIS OPERATION MUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE
PLUG DISCONNECTED.
To obtein maximum output during polishing, do not exert
excessive pressure on the tool since this reduces its
speed and efficiency.
REPLACING THE BACKING PLATE (nylon or rubber
- fig. 1)
To replace the rubber or nylon backing plate, simply:
- Lock the disk shaft using shaft lock button.
- Using the service wrench, unscrew the conical lock ring
which locks the backing plates counter clockwise.
REPLACING THE RESIN BUFFER
The resin buffer comes complete with aluminium support
and M14 female connection.
