Safety Instructions

This instruction manual contains important
instructions which must be complied with for
the easy installation and proper operation of
the hood. Please carefully store the
instruction and installation manuals for future
reference or troubleshooting.
Designated Use
Exhaust hoods from GUTMANN must be
used exclusively for the removal of vapors
and steam created while cooking in private
premises. Any other use is deemed contrary
to designated and could present danger to
persons and objects.Exhaust hoods may not
be used as a regular shelf for objects such
as bottles or other kitchen utensils.
Installation
This device may only be installed by
authorized service personnel in compliance
with all relevant regulations of the companies
providing electricity as well as the building
regulations of the respective countries. The
attached installation instructions must also be
complied with! Damaged devices may not be
operated. Defective parts must be replaced
by original parts. Repairs may only be
conducted by authorized service technicians.
Risk of Poisoning!
During simultaneous operation of an exhaust
hood for exhaust purposes and other heat
producing appliances dependent upon the air
in the room (e.g. wood, gas or oil fueled
devices) in one room, deadly flammable
gases could be fed back into the room
through negative pressure. Please provide a
sufficient supply of air at all times. The nega-
tive pressure in the room may not be greater
than 4 Pa (0.04 mbar). The exhaust hood may
not be operated without a grease filter in place
and should always be operated under
supervision.
Risk of Fire!
Filters filled with too much grease carry a risk
of fire. Only fry under an exhaust hood if there
is constant supervision! Be certain to clean
the filter regularly!Cooking flambé style under
the hood is not allowed! Gas devices may
only be used the exhaust hood with pots on
them!In the event of the simultaneous use
of more than three gas-operated cooking
stations, the hood should be operated at
power level two or higher. This will prevent
heat accumulation in the device.
Risk of Electrical Shock!
Please do not clean the hood with a steam
cleaning device or a high pressure cleaner.
The device must be separated from the
electrical network before cleaning.

General Functionality

Exhaust hoods from Exklusiv-Hauben GUT-
MANN GmbH are specially designed for the
suction of cooking vapors in private
households.
The escaping vapors are captured by the
hood and taken into a grease filter via an
exhaust slit. The front side of the exhaust
hood is provided with a special pane of glass
for cosmetic as well as technical reasons.
This pane is arranged in such a manner that
a continuous exhaust slit is created which
guarantees a constant exhaust speed.
A „hinge" in the pane allows access to the
grease filter behind the glass pane. The
illumination is arranged around the hood
lengthwise and is flush with the hood body
for cosmetic as well as cleaning purposes.
The exhaust settings and illumination of the
hood are regulated using a control panel (or
remote control). The intervals for the filter
cleaning are also displayed via the control
panel. The lighting concept is determined as
per hood dimensions by a varying number of
