Connection of the light to the electric supply
The UWS K2 must only be operated using a safety transformer according to VDE
regulations 0551 / IEC 742; EN 60742.
The set consisting of one floodlight only is supplied with an a. c. power pack 230
V~/12 V~, 20 VA . The set consisting of two floodlights is supplied with an a.c.
power pack 230 V~/12V~, 50 VA.
Caution: Please care for a dry environment around the cable connections.
Repair
Should the unit once require any repair (excluding exchange of lamp), we
recommend you return it to your local dealer or to us.This guarantees professional,
quick and low-cost repairs with original parts.
Exchange of lamp
- Pull out power supply plug respectively interrupt current supply and secure
- Drain the pool.
- Tighten the assembly screw at the foot resp. earth spike and turn the reflector
For exchanging the lamp, the top is to be screwed off in anticlockwise direction.
Now the hard glass plate can be removed and the tungsten-halogen lamp 12 V,
20 W, cap G4 exchanged. The new lamp must never be touched by your fingers
as this would considerably reduce the service life of the lamp. When mounting
the top part again it must be taken care that the sealing ring and the hard glass
plate fit correctly.
Caution: Never use any tool when exchanging the lamp!
CONNECTION OF AN ELECTRIC LEAD (TO BE EFFECTED BY AN ELECTRICIAN
ONLY) FOR UWS K2 WITHOUT CONNECTING CABLE
The floodlight is supplied serially with 1 packing ring for H05RN-F 2xl.0 and 1 filler
plug (completely mounted).
Another packing ring for H05RN-F2xl.0 has been enclosed as detached part in
case two floodlights are to be connected in series. For mounting the connecting
lead, the cable gland and the lid of the connection box is to be removed. In the
case of a set consisting of 1 floodlight only,the filler plug may be left in its place.
First, the union nut has to be pushed onto the lead and then the packing ring. The
outer rubber sheath of the connecting lead should penetrate from the cable gland
to the inside by at least 5 mm. Now the two terminal screws have to be unscrewed,
the lead introduced into the provided hole, and the lead ends (which are equip-
ped with ferrules) are firmly locked by means of the terminal screws. Finally, the
lid and the flat packing of the connecting box as well as both union nuts of the
cable gland have to be tightly screwed.
Caution: The floodlight must only be operated using a safety transformer (a.c.
power pack) in accordance with VDE 0551, IEC-742,EN 607 42.
