NOTE
► If you wish to make two cups of
espresso at the same time, place
the cups next to each other on the
cup rest so that one cup is filled from
each of the openings on the under-
side of the strainer holder.

Frothing milk
NOTE
► Use cold containers and cold milk.
The best results are achieved with
full-fat milk or milk with a fat content
of at least 2%.
► The special froth attachment enables
production of a firm froth with low-fat
milk.
Check the water level in the water

tank (1) and add water, if necessary.
The water is required for the genera-
tion of steam.
Press / (31). The green indicator
‹
light "Espresso machine" (29) and
the yellow indicator light "Heater" (30)
light up and the appliance begins to
heat up.
After approx. 3 minutes, the yellow in-
dicator light "Heater" (30) extinguishes
Fill the froth container up to approxi-
‹
mately one-third with cold milk.
Position the steam nozzle (7) of the
‹
appliance so that the steam nozzle
with the froth attachment can protrude
into the froth container.
Immerse the steam nozzle into the
‹
milk in the froth container and turn the
function selection switch (5) to the
position to start the frothing process
(image E1).
NOTE
► First of all, hold the steam nozzle
just under the surface of the milk
until the milk in the froth container is
lukewarm.
Subsequently immerse the nozzle
down to the bottom of the froth con-
tainer to swirl the milk.
