1. PRESENTATION

The C.A 711 is a visual and audio detector of DC and AC vol-
tages, continuity and the phase rotation order ("3-wire"
method). It also provides phase/neutral identification.
It has been designed in compliance with the international IEC
61243-3 norm (regarding Class A voltage detectors
V < 500 V ~ and 750 V ... ).
The C.A 711 is EDF approved with the number No. C 211 640.
It complies with the specific prescriptions for live-line work:
n High level of electrical safety for qualified users.
n Electronic protection up to 1000 Vrms for continuity when
the circuit is live.
n High level of protection of the casing: IP°65.
n Retractable touch prods with IP 2 X protection.
n Its standard dimensions enable it to fit into operating rods
for remote work.
NB : - This detector is not a measuring instrument. It clearly
indicates the presence and/or absence of a voltage.
- The polarity is not indicated for DC voltages.
