2. Controls
On the top of the camera there is an orange shutter release and LEDs show-
ing the battery charging state and the current function as well as the on
and off switch (main switch).
On the front side you can see the combined Wi-Fi button and Wi-Fi status
display next to the objective lens.
On the side of the camera there is a compartment with a plastic cover. You
can remove the cover with your fingernail. There at the top right you find the
memory card slot and on the left next to is it the microphone USB socket.
The microphone HDMI socket is underneath.
The battery compartment is on the underside of the camera. If several bat-
teries are used, alternately this is where they are changed.
3. Preparation of the camera
1. Charging the battery:
Before you use the camera for the first time the battery must be fully
charged. To do this, connect the camera with the micro USB cable to a
recharging unit or charging facilities. The LED on the top is now red. It
takes 3.5 hours for the battery to be fully charged. The battery indicator
at the bottom right of the screen will confirm when the battery is fully
charged. Some functions, such as the Wi-Fi, are not available only if the
battery is in a low charge state.

2. Switching on and off:
To switch the camera on, press the on and off button for 2 seconds. The
status LED on the top of the camera lights up blue. In the factory settings
the camera launches into a video mode. To switch the camera off, press
the button again for 2 seconds.
3. Inserting the memory card:
Insert the micro SD card into the card slot on the side of the camera.
We recommend Class 10 (high speed) micro SD cards for the best image
results. There is only one correct way to insert the SD card. Do not use
force in order to prevent damage either to the camera or to the SD card.
New SD cards for the camera should be formatted in the camera (see
below).
Mounting the camera in the underwater housing
Make sure that the housing is dry and clean. Place the camera in the hous-
ing, so that the objective is positioned in the slot designed for it. Then close
the lock. Now the camera can be mounted using the accessory components.
Video recording
Press the shutter release to start video recording. To stop recording, press
the shutter release again.
