3 - Train a young pointer using an expert dog
To train a young dog, it is useful to start out with the help of an expert dog, which
carries out the function of the instructor. In this case CANIBEEP is very effective, as it
allows the "beginner" dog to rely on its ears, as well as on its other senses, to understand
how the instructor dog is working.
Goal : when the beginner dog understands the connection between the beep, which
indicates that the instructor dog is pointing, and the presence of the prey, it will
naturally begin to master the skill.
Start out by putting
the collar in mode 5 (for example)
on dog A (instructor)
Dog A moving :
One beep every
10 seconds tone 1
Bring dog B (beginner),
with collar in position 6
(for example), next to dog A, already pointing
Dog B pointing :
One beep every 2 seconds tone 2
Dog A pointing :
One beep every
2 seconds tone 1
