Introduction

This User's Handbook must be carefully read from beginning to
end.
It forms a constituent part of your newly acquired battery
powered, photoelectric smoke alarm and contains important
instructions for its use and operation. In what follows, it will be
referred to simply as 'smoke alarm'. When it is in use, all the
specified safety precautions must be observed at all times.
If any queries arise concerning its use, contact your dealer or our
service centre. The handbook should be kept in a safe place
and, if applicable, be handed on to the next occupant of the
property.

Pack specification

Immediately on removing the packaging, check the contents of
the pack for completeness. In addition, the alarm itself should be
inspected to ensure that it is in perfect condition.

Also, fastening materials for a concrete ceiling (if other
substrates apply, the requisite fastening materials must be
obtained from an appropriate retail outlet).
