PRESSURE REGULATOR

• Environmentally friendly.
• Lower chemical & water consumption.
• Consistent, quality applications.
On manual knapsack sprayers for agricultural and garden use, the pressure regulator is essential in obtaining the right type of
spray for each phytosanitary product and crop. It enables constant exit pressure to be obtained, which means that uniform droplet
sizes can be achieved and accurate applications of chemicals, thus minimising the risk of pollution for users and the environment.
Phytosanitary products can be broken down into two major groups: high pressure applications (insecticides and fungicides) and low
pressure applications (herbicides). With this in mind, we have developed this regulator, which is capable of providing suitable exit
pressures for both types merely by changing the position of one component. The regulator also incorporates a third function with
free pressure/flow, which can be used to depressurise the sprayer after use. This allows the same regulator to be used for applying
insecticides and herbicides, ensuring environmental protection. This is the only regulator in the market which incorporates this third
depressurizing function.
ATTACHING THE REGULATOR TO THE SPRAYER LANCE
As shown in the cover photo, the regulator must be attached directly between the lance tube and the elbow bend of the sprayer. To
do this proceed in order as shown in figures 1 to 7 in table C. The nut type securing system enables the regulator to be positioned
with the handle so that the working pressure colour indicator is visible at all times.
SELECTING THE WORKING FUNCTION (See figure A)
The regulator is delivered assembled in the OFF position (free flow) and the red indicator. To operate at low pressure (1.5 bar) turn
the nut to the ON position (see drawing).
SELECTING THE PRESSURE– 3 BAR (INSECTICIDES AND FUNGICIDES - GREEN) / 1.5 BAR (HERBICIDES - RED) (See figure B)
For high pressure uses (3 bar), lightly press the upper lid of the regulator and turn it to remove the coloured part. Turn it upside down
exposing the green end and reassemble the lid (see drawings). In the ON position the regulator will always operate at the pressure
corresponding to the colour that is visible from the outside.
FREE PRESSURE AND FLOW OR DEPRESSURISING (See figure A)
If you wish to return to free pressure/flow work with the unit or to depressurise it, just switch from On to Off, regardless of whether
the indicator is green or red
(1 bar ≅ 1 atm ≅ 14 psi)
SUPER TYPE LANCE
Detail of regulator fitted to the lance. (This
position must be used for the regulator to
work properly: between the elbow and the
lance tube).
