Possible cause
No brake resistor installed.
Brake resistor is broken.
Brake chopper failure.
Too low temperature measured in
power unit's heat sink or board.
Heat sink temperature is under -10
°C
(14 °F).
Too high temperature measured in
power unit's heat sink or board.
Heat sink temperature is over 100
°C
(212 °F).
Motor is stalled.
Motor is overloaded.
Motor is underloaded.
Drive power is too high.
Start angle identification has failed.
Generic motor control fault.
Startup of the drive has failed. Run
request is ON when new software
(firmware or application), a
parameter setting or any other file,
which affects the operation of the
drive, has been loaded to the drive.
Emergency stop button or some
other STO operation has been
activated.
Fan life time is up.
Fire mode of the drive is enabled.
The drive's protections are not in
use.
Remedy
Check brake resistor and
cabling.
If these are OK, the chopper is
faulty. Contact the nearest
distributor.
Check the ambient
temperature.
Check the correct amount and
flow of cooling air.
Check the heat sink for dust.
Check the ambient
temperature.
Make sure that the switching
frequency is not too high in
relation to the ambient
temperature and motor load.
Check motor and load.
Decrease motor load.
If no motor overload exists,
check the temperature model
parameters.
Check load.
Decrease load.
Reset the fault and restart.
Contact the nearest distributor if
the fault reoccurs.
Reset the fault and stop the AC
drive.
Load the software and start the
AC drive.
When the STO function is
activated, the drive is in safe
state.
Change fan and reset fan life
time counter.
Check the parameter settings
