IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

This a medical device for home use. It is to be used only upon medical prescription.
Before using the unit for the first time, and periodically throughout its life, check the power supply cord for any damage.
If there is any damage, unplug immediately and return the product to an authorized dealer for service.
• Children and disabled persons should always use the unit under strict supervision of an adult who has read this
manual.
• The unit should not be used in the presence of anaesthetic substances inflammable with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
• Never use adopters for power supplies different from the one indicated on the bottom of the unit. Keep the cord away
from heated surfaces.
Do not handle the plug with wet hands. Never use the unit while having a bath or shower. Never submerge the
unit in water; should this accidentally occur, unplug immediately - do not reach for the submerged the unit, always
unplug first. After removing a unit from water, do not use again, ensure it is returned to an authorized service dealer.
• Do not wash the unit under running water or do not submerge it in water.
• Unit with case not protected against ingress of liquids.
• Always unplug the unit immediately after use.
• Repairs should be performed by authorized personnel only. Unauthorized repairs will invalidate the warranty and may
represent a hazard to the user.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before each use, the nebulizer and the accessories should be cleaned according to the instructions in the section
"CLEANING AND DISINFECTION ".
1. Plug the power cord into a power socket corresponding to the voltage of the unit.
2. Carefully wash your hands before preparing the inhalation therapy.
3. Open the medication nebulizer by turning the upper part (8c) counterclockwise.
4. Pour the drug prescribed by the physician into the lower part (8a). Close the medication nebulizer by turning the upper
part (8c) clockwise.
5. Connect the medication nebulizer (8) to the unit's air outlet port (5) by means of the tube (6). In order to avoid waste
of nebulized medication, it is possible to use the drug saving device (7). Connect one end of the device to the
medication nebulizer (8) and the other end to the tube (6). Close the opening with the finger to perform nebulization;
reopen it to stop nebulization. Apply one of the required accessories (nasal prong, mouthpiece, mask) to the medication
nebulizer.
6. Start the unit by turning the switch on (3). Please remember that the unit is designed for a continuous operation and
should be operated on an uncluttered, clean flat surface.
7. When the treatment is finished, turn off and unplug the unit.
8. Put caps A and B back in their seat in order to protect the inner part of the medication nebulizer.
9. It may happen that during the use of the nebulizer visible humidity deposits form in the connection tube (6), disconnect
the tube from the nebulizer and let it dry using the compressor air flow.
ACCESSORIES -TECHNICAL FEATURES
NEBULIZER RAPIDFLAEM 2
The main characteristic of the double flow nebulizer consists of the two options for drug administration. With the first
option, i.e. cap B, nebulization is slower and the particles are smaller. This is recommended for treatment of the lower
respiratory tract, the smaller particle size combined with the increased administration time ensuring penetration of the
pulmonary alveoli. Under the second option, i.e. without cap B, the nebulization is faster and the aerosol particles larger.
It is therefore recommended for the treatment of the upper respiratory tract.
