LEDs do not light LED
(5, 6, 7, fig. 1), plungers will
not move.
The unit does not
switch on.
Plungers will not move,
"Unit cover" LED (7, fig. 1)
is on or flashes.
The plungers move slowly
toward the cartridge.
Cartridges cannot be
removed / cannot be
installed.
The hexagonal end
(13, fig.1) fails to turn.
Unit automatically reduces
the extrusion speed.
The mixing nozzle (21,
fig.1) bursts.
The tubular bag bursts or
is damaged.
Advance stops for no
apparent reason and the
unit performs a short relief
stroke.
Advance stops for no
apparent reason and the
pressure discs return
to their home position.
The mixing program LEDs
are flashing while the unit
cover is open.
Cause
• The unit is not switched on.
• Power cord not properly connected
to the unit.
• Fuse blown.
• No power at the wall outlet.
• Unit fault.
• Unit cover not properly closed.
• The cover was opened before the
plungers had stopped. A previous
cartridge position has been saved.
• Plungers' disc have not fully
retracted to their home position.
• The mixer shaft has not threaded
itself.
• Material has hardened in the mixing
nozzle.
• The mixer motor's thermal protector
has activated.
• Unit detects a highly viscous or
too cold impression material (below
21°C [70°F]) and automatically
reduces the extrusion speed and
mixer rotary speed.
• Contamination (e.g. debris) in the
cartridge holder.
• Insufficient spindle lubrication.
• Incorrect mixing nozzle installed.
• Mixing tip/ foil bag not compatible.
• Plungers' disc are too much worn
or have been damaged, causing the
tubular bag to be pinched between
the plungers' disc and the cartridge.
• The material has partially hardened
in the cartridge.
• Material has hardened in the cart-
ridge.
• The controller has detected an over-
load.
• Material has hardened in the cart-
ridge.
• Insufficient spindle lubrication.
• No mixing program is selected.
Corrective action
• Switch the unit on at the main power switch
(17, fig. 1).
• Check that the unit plug is properly seated (fig. 2).
• Replace the fuse (refer to Sec. 6.5).
• Check that there is power at the wall outlet.
• Return the unit for repair.
• Close the unit cover (8, fig. 1) and check that the
c artridges are properly seated. If required, seat
cartridges correctly.
• Press retract key (4, fig 1) and wait until the plungers
have reached their home position and have stopped.
Then repeat the process with the cartridge.
• Press the retract key (4, fig 1) and allow the plungers
to retract until they stop automatically. They are now
in their home position (refer to Sec. 5.1).
• Check that the cartridge is properly seated.
• Install a new nozzle.
• Allow the unit to cool down for approx. 30 minutes.
Observe the maximum permissible operating time
(2 minutes of operation, 5 minute pause).
• This only occurs if the impression material is highly
viscose or too cold. Refer to the manufacturer's
processing instructions (processing temperature)
or handle the impression material with a room
temperature between 21 – 25°C [70 – 77°F].
• Clean the inner surfaces of the cartridge holder and
plungers' disc.
• Lubricate the spindles.
• Use the mixing nozzle specified by the manufacturer.
• Contact the manufacturer of the mixing tip / foil bag.
• Replace the plungers' disc (refer to Sec. 6.3).
• Replace the cartridge (refer to Sec. 5.1).
• Use new mixing nozzle.
• Impression material is too cold. Refer to the
manufacturer's processing instructions or handle
the impression material with a room temperature
between 21 – 25°C [70 – 77°F].
• Use a new cartridge.
• Lubricate the spindles.
• Select the correct mixing program for the impression
material (see section 5.1.1).
