04. Operation
Switching on and off
Hold the device by the ribbed rubber grip. Now switch the device
on by pressing the on/off button and hold it in the air, away from
yourself and other surfaces. Now press ‚MEAS'. The displayed value
must be between -5 and +5 digits. The device is calibrated electro-
nically; readjustment is not necessary.
If the measuring instrument is not used for a longer period, it will

switch itself off automatically after approx. 30 seconds in order to
prolong the battery life.
